All Things Horsey

Finally signed up after promising to do so for the past month. I have a guilt complex like you wouldn't believe. :)

Well, I was raised on an Egyptian Arabian stud farm and had a mustang mare. She could easily be spotted in a field of Arabs with her roman nose and mule ears, but she was mine and I loved her. We had about 40 brood mares and a very happy stud. One gelding, my AQH jumper, thrown in for good luck. It was a great place to grow up.

Now, I live close to DC so my horse has to live about 40 minutes from me. I have a 6 yo TWH/SSH gelding named Charlie Brown. I posted some pics in the TWH thread. Charlie is my first foray into the gaited world so I have a lot to learn. Folks in the area have been great in bringing me up to speed. I am really liking Charlie a lot.

I had an AQH mare, Dynamite, but lost her in July due to mankind's stupidity. She was only 4. It still hurts, but Charlie is helping me to heal. Not a replacement, just a new outlet.

Look forward to meeting some of you!

Cheers,
Shannon, LuvMyAQH

Sorry, forgot to attach the pics of Charlie and Dynamite. Charlie is the SSH and Dynamite was the buckskin AQH mare. On her way to being built like a tank. Miss ya my girl.

Wonderful pics. That must have been an incredible place to grow up. Thanks for joining. I think it's been over a month lOL So sorry about your 4 year old. I know how hard it is to lose a horse especially a young one like that.
