All Things Horsey

I'm meeting up with some horsey friends this April in Lexington to see the Rolex at the horse park. I've never seen a sport horse competition and I've never been to the horse park...anything I have to do or see?

The park in and of itself is great to see. Mimi and I went there on a day drive from L'ville. It is a wonderful place. You could also drive around and look at some of the beautiful breeding farms. If you need a new suit, you would be in the right town :)

George Knight stable is in Lexington. He has Along came a spider and was most gracious to us. We called him out of the blue because we were sick of watching "peanut pushers" (sorry quarter horse people). He took us around and showed us several horses he had and let us watch and take pictures. The saddlebred museum is a must as is the horse park museum. You have to go visit the gravesites of Wild Eyed and Wicked. Just walking the grounds and seeing all the venues and merchants is exciting too.
