What was your first horse show? Mine was when I was about 6 or 7 and we used to have a one day horse show at our barn. My mother actually showed my horse at that show once in a class they called,"Daddy's Money". The person who paid for the horse, but didn't ride it showed it. My mom had no clue what she was doing and, the horse was such a good boy, he would just take her into the center for someone to tell her what to do. It was a hoot.
Wow! That could prove to be an interesting class!!!!
My first show was at the Fuzzy Wuzzy Horse Show in Cannon Falls, MN.
I had to show a horse I hadn't ridden before as the one I was riding was lame. I showed at several of the academy shows before moving into the bigger shows for the rest of that year.
It's fun to think back to those times and your initial reaction to riding new horses or learning new gaits.
It's also fun for me to go back and watch those videos and see some of the people that are still involved with the ASBs twenty years ago!!!! Some have changed, while others haven't. Then there are those that are gone that we will forever hold in our memories one way or another.
