Favorite Saddlebred Show?

For me, I love going to Midwest Charity Horse Show. I think Louisville is just too long and I don't know that you really see the best against the best.

Permalink Reply by Courtney on September 26, 2008 at 9:19pm: For me...it would have to be the American Royal. You see great horses and a top-notch horse show. Equitation has always been near and dear to my heart so, of course, I love seeing the finals.

I, of course, love the WCHS as well. It is hard to watch that show and then come back home and watch the horse shows around here....which is NOT to say that each horse does not have it's own place. However, it is hard to watch that many great horses and then come home and watch a show.

However, I must say that I truly appreciate ANY horse or rider that goes in the ring and gives it their all. As a photographer it is always interesting to see how each horse presents itself in the ring. I always am encouraged to try to get the best photo of that horse that I can.

Each show has it's own unique characteristics, but the Royal and KSF are definitely at the top of my list. You get to see the best of the best. Also, there are some of the best restaurants around.
